Life changes so quickly, doesn't it.

Currently suffering with severe deathitis, runny nose and the sneezes. Was working until 1am which didn't help matters at all. Overslept, didn't get up until 10 and have been most unproductive today.

Why is it Monday? This is a philosophical question. What if they renamed Monday, so all the connotations of Monday were taken out? Like renaming chips to freedom fries. Would Monday be any different? What if they called it Friday instead? So everyone could be so happy that it's Friday, even though it's not the end of the week.

These are the things that occupy my mind.

It won't surprise you to know that once again I am homeless. To anyone thinking about it, I would advise against living with your ex. Shame - I love the flat and, you know, it was our wee home for a while. The domesticity and the routine but hey, time to move on. But I have nowhere to go. Well, not nowhere, of course. My friends wouldn't see me out on the street. But I would like somewhere to call home for a while. Cos I'll play wild rover no nover, no more. Etc. Etc.

I have a new supervisor supervising my masters. Did I say I'm doing a masters now? Yeah well that's why I'm still in the Port and still hanging out in the university. Anyway, my new supervisor is Steve. And he supervises pretty well it seems.

The trick this year will be to find a job before I graduate.

President George Bush's last press conference this morning. He feels that he has been misunderestimated and also believes that only only way to establish sustainable peace in Gaza is for Hamas to stop firing rockets.

Quite.

What about a power sharing agreement? Shimon Peres and Khaled Mashaal as the Chuckle Brothers.

Poor Kate Winslet who has been "terrified" about her forthcoming awards won two. I made sure I inspected the front page of The Sun this morning and was disappointed to see nothing on "Kate's Golden Globes". The Sun - you have let us down.

I am back.

I had a pretty nice Christmas. Usual stuff - fun with Graham, Christmas Eve with Tom and Kaya. No Midnight Mass, though, as my Dad was too sick to go. It is lucky that I am immortal and never get diseased.

I had plenty of time to think and to try not to think.

The last couple of days have been beautiful. But I can't explain right now.

Update:

In this parallel universe, it is cold, the vodka tastes like washing powder, the good people are better than you could imagine and the bad people are worse. Cruel beyond belief.

On to England tomorrow. I shall let you know on my return how it fares in this alternate existence.

Merry Christmas. Assuming that in this world, Jesus Christ was also born 25th December in order to save us from ourselves. Judging by the amount of tinsel around, it seems so.

No tinsel here, though.
